In the last four of this season's Champions League, the La Liga champions-elect face the Premier League holders, and the Etihad Stadium hosts the first leg of Manchester City and Real Madrid's semi-final on Tuesday night.

Pep Guardiola's men needed just one goal to advance to the quarterfinals, while Real Madrid ended Chelsea's hopes of back-to-back European titles in dramatic fashion.

Team Updates

While all players who had only received one or two yellow cards have now had their infringements erased, City will be without Joao Cancelo for the first leg after he received his third caution of the tournament at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Guardiola will be desperate to have Kyle Walker back from an ankle injury in time for Tuesday - the right-back is "much, much better," according to the Catalan coach - and it remains to be seen whether John Stones will recover from a muscular injury in time.

Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, and Riyad Mahrez are all expected to be recalled this week, but Jesus has given Guardiola plenty to think about by responding to links with a move away with a quartet of strikes on Saturday.

While Real Madrid has no suspension issues for the first leg - Eder Militao has returned from his suspension for the home loss to Chelsea - Ancelotti's injury woes continue after David Alaba was substituted against Osasuna due to a thigh injury.

The defender was limited to indoor work on Saturday alongside Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, and Mariano Diaz, all of whom will miss out, but Alaba has made the squad alongside Casemiro and Ferland Mendy and could see some action here.

Luka Modric was rested entirely in the win over Osasuna, but he'll be back in midfield alongside the returning Toni Kroos, and Marcelo should be fit enough to fill in at left-back for Mendy if necessary.

Manchester City possible starting lineup:

Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling

Real Madrid possible starting lineup:

Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Nacho, Marcelo; Kroos, Camavinga, Modric; Valverde, Benzema, Vinicius Junior

PREDICTION : Manchester City 2-2 Real Madrid
