PART 7 - THE KUSASI DECEIT, BETRAYAL AND UNGRATEFULLNESS
We Kusasis had no idea of how the chieftaincy institution works, the Yanga man betrayed his host and associated himself with us. He became our Kusasi chief merely because he was close to the Bawku Naba Naa Salma Yirimea as his sandals bearer.
We Kusasis must travel back in time and beg forgiveness from those who have shaped us into the persons we are today.
We have shown them how deceptive and ungrateful we are, and we have shown the rest of the world that we are betrayers.
It is true that we Kusasis control 45% of Ghana’s cocoa sector and this accession cannot wholly true without a question mark. Majority of our Kusasi farmers in the middle belts and southern Ghana have acquired their farms from their masters through of betrayal of trust. Most of our farmers after working well for their master’s turn to kill them and own their cocoa farms on the pretense that their farm masters had be quitted it to them. I do not know if it is a curse on us, but truth be told, we are not always genuinely and sincerely dealing with those who help us. We Kusasis will always find a means to either cheat or betray.
Let us take a good look at ourselves, particularly the Agole Kusasis, and we will agree that we are like that to some extent. Even amongst ourselves, we still try to cheat or betray each other. We need serious deliverance; because the issues are not favoring us, our gods are not even, in support of what we are doing. They made us ‘Tindana’ and we turn to use its literal meaning to claim their land to ours forgetting that the role of the ‘Tindana’ is to mediate between the gods and the people.
Thank you.
