The Winneba Metropolitan Order of the Ghana Public Fire Administration (GNFS) says starter examinations that led to the Accra-Cape parkway mishap show that a few drivers, particularly the individuals who drive Mercedes Runner and 207 kinds of transport have been consuming upgrade substances to empower them to drive for longer hours.
The Winneba Civil Fire Authority, DOIII Kwesi Hughes said the drivers taken in 'small toffee'.
The Commandant was giving a record of two separate mishaps on the Cape Coast-Accra stretch of the roadway which made injury 46 travellers throughout the end of the week.
Twenty travellers were shipped off the emergency clinic in basic condition, while 26 different people were harmed and gotten treatment at the Winneba Injury and Expert Emergency clinic in these two separate mishaps on the Kasoa-Cape Coast Parkway.
While the main mishap occurred at Gomoa Mpota, the second occurred at Gomoa Mankessim in the Focal Locale.
Police say every one of the two separate mishaps, including five vehicles, had two Runner Benz transports.
The principal which had three vehicles included a Runner Benz transport, a KIA Rhino and a DAF Trailer while the second had a Runner Benz Transport with the enrollment number GN-2572-10 from Cape Coast to Accra burst its tire and somersaulted simultaneously.
The Fire Administration Administrator, DOIII Kwesi Hughes told Dawn to have Alfred Ocansey on Monday, April 25 that "the drivers of this runner transports take in substance which is maltreatment.
"So their blood is hot. They take in small toffee so the police can go underground and do examinations to check".
He made sense of that "when they sit behind the wheels, they are simply pursuing cash".
"A runner can overtake 15 vehicles at a go. See, I have been utilizing this stretch on a day to day or week by week premise and what I some of the time see, it is exceptionally awful".
