I loose many friends here on Facebook after I started doing what others have done before. In fact, doing what is good just as what others have done before.
Just before this, I used to write short stories and post them here for free, and people read and appreciated me. Many of them even tipped me and encourage me and vowed to linked me up with great playwrights around the globe so that one day I become a great novelist just like Chenua Achibe or George Owell or Ola Rotimi etc. Alash!, Anytime I posted a picture on Facebook, I got thousands of likes and loves. I thought I was a global icon or in a path nearing global icon. No, that isn't the case. I realized I was praised for doing things that are actually free. I didn't mind, I continued writing and writing untill I am somewhere near good or better best. At that time I could conviniently convey a message worth of understanding to my readers.
Then later, when I completed my UNIVERSITY EDUCATION and my NATIONAL SERVICE and applied for a job and had the chance to work at the institution, a number of folks ganged up against me and subsequently succeeded in not allowing me into that office because of my party affiliation, I began writing and spreading good news about my party, people who belong to NPP started disliking me and people who do not like politics also started not liking my post.
Nonetheless, I became famous amongst my people. I meant people from NDC who didn't even know why I am a volunteer communicator of my party, the great NDC.
All I am saying is that, people will always discourage you from doing what they can't do better. The lesson we must learned here is that, do the right and the right thing that you are best at and you will gained recognition from where you belong to. It is better to be with few people who like you than to be with many people who do not like you
