Ghanaian students who fled the war in Ukraine says they are frustrated by the Government lackadaisical attitude towards to replace them in new schools despite numerous assurance and promises made to them.
Leadership of the students says,despite the numerous assurances made to them before their departure, nothing concrete has been done so far.
The Government of GHANA has evacuated over one thousand students who were in various Universities in Ukraine even at the time the war was still ongoing.Although,others refused to return to the Country for reasons best known to them.
In a recent interview with City News,the President of the Ghanaian University students in Ukraine ,mr Phillip Bobbie Ansah says the students are frustrated .this is what he said on citi news.
"We had a couple of meetings initially and they,Government mand us understand that they are very much position to help us insecure schools for us.They requested data which we made available for them.but every thing seems slow .we do not know what is happing now"
"He also added that the students and administration has given them every piece of information they have asked for still we do not know that is causing the delay".
The further added that his colleges who refused coming back to the country is in the better position than them because they have different opportunities at their end,so it looks like it was a mistake for some of them to have come back to the country .
The Government had given indications of engaging the students who were evacuated from Ukraine because of thee conflict between Ukraine and Russia some where last February this year on options available to ensure the continuity of their Education in the country or Abroad .
This was also discussed with parents of students and other stake holders in the Country on how this affected students continues their Academic calendar .
