Charlotte Osei rejects proposal by a political pundit to become a Supreme Court Judge in 2025

Former Boss of Electoral Commission, Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei has rejected a proposal by a political pundit to become a Judge at the Apex Court of Ghana. 

A social media political pundit tagged the former EC boss in a tweet proposing for her to be appointed to the highest level at the bench. He tweeted "@char_osei should be appointed as a Supreme Court Judge in 2025" 

In a sharp response, the lawyer and TV host rejected with " No thanks" despite the massive reactions supporting the tweet in the comments section. 

Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei together with her two deputies, Amadu Sulley and Georgina Opoku Amankwaa in 2018 were accused of breaching procurement laws and taking unilateral decisions without recourse to laid down procedures of the state institution. 

President Akufo-Addo and the Chief Justice were petitioned to impeach the EC chairperson for engaging in fraudulent activities. She was replaced with Jean Adukwei Mensah after the impeachment processes was successful. 

Political pundit Andy Yiddana's tweet has gone viral with Ghanaians sharing mixed opinions about her proposed appointment and subsequent rejection.
