On Tuesday evening, Manchester City and Real Madrid battled out a tense Champions League semi-final first leg encounter at the Etihad Stadium.

City appeared to be on their way to winning the game in the first ten minutes, with goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus giving them a two-goal lead.

Real might have been even more down, but thanks to the outstanding Karim Benzema, they were able to cut the gap in half.

Just after halftime, Phil Foden made it 3-1, but Vinicius Jr scored a remarkable solo goal to close the deficit once again.

With seven minutes left, Benzema scored an unbelievable Panenka to make it 4-2.

Silva's goal was fantastic. Benzema's penalty was well-executed. Vinicius, on the other hand, scored the game's winning goal.

With a fantastic piece of play, the Brazilian wrecked his compatriot Fernandinho near the half-way line.

He then bolted away from Fernandinho and raced at City's defense. before finishing calmly past Ederson.

Fan film captured Pep Guardiola's reaction to Vinicius' goal and his brilliance on Fernandinho.

It would be an understatement to say he was devastated after witnessing Vinicius crush his experienced midfielder.

Guardiola went to his knees and put his hands on his head after watching the talent and Vinicius dashing away.

After Vinicius scored, he went over to the fourth official to protest.

On May 4, Real will host City at the Santiago Bernabeu for their second leg tie.

City has a little edge going into the game, but it's still all to play for. Let's hope the game in Madrid is even better than the one at the Etihad.
