Barcelona club president Joan Laporta has faulted season ticket holders selling their seats for last week's humiliation against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Bundesliga side beat Barça 3-2 at Camp Nou to advance to the semi-finals of the Europa League.
A significant argument from the match was that while the away side just had an authority distribution of 5,000 tickets, more than 30,000 fans Frankfurt fans were available, giving almost 50% of the 79,468 in participation and giving the game a cup-last feel.
Xavi and Laporta were both frustrated with how this formed the tie, and the last option has shielded the club for the disaster and on second thought faulted Barcelona season ticket holders for permitting Frankfurt to acquire such a benefit.
"The club isn't to be faulted for what occurred against Eintracht, yet it is mindful," Laporta said at a question and answer session.
"We didn't offer passes to German fans past the 5,000 away tickets. Deals from Germany weren't permitted and there were many individuals attempting to purchase tickets from that point. The arrangement of control upset to a point, yet a few coordinated bunches had the option to break the instruments set up.
"We acquired the framework from the past board. We figured it could work however we have seen that for unique games it doesn't.
"Tickets will currently be non-transferrable for non-homegrown matches and high-risk games. We are chipping away at different measures with the goal that it doesn't reoccur."
Laporta added: "A gathering of individuals abused their season tickets, which they surrendered to German fans. It is miserable in light of the fact that we love this club and it is difficult to envision season ticket holders giving their passes to equal fans. In any case, this occurred and it will be dependent upon investigation.
"There are around 7,000 individuals that bought tickets with the rebate code and [those tickets] wound up in German hands. We don't believe that it should turn into a witch chase, yet there is a great deal of frustration and will investigate perhaps making a move.
"We have likewise identified negligence from a visit administrator, whose agreement with the club has now been ended.
