Shama SHS students were overjoyed on Wednesday when they competed in the Western Regional Qualifies of the 2022 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
The School has secured a spot in the competition's national finals. They had to battle it out with Ghana Sec. Tech. School (GSTS), Nsein SHS, and Esiama SHTS to get this triumph.
Shama SHS dribbles GSTS to book a National Championship spot in NSMQ 2022 GSTS, the 2012 NSMQ champions, were unable to increase their efforts to reverse their bad luck.
Shama SHS showed that they were serious when they won Round Four and properly solved all of the riddles. They finished the game with 48 points, while GSTS was in second place with 30 points.
"The GIANTS have collapsed to the ground. GSTS, best of luck next year," NSMQ Ghana tweeted.
Shama SHS will now compete in the preliminary round of the national tournament against St John's School, Fiaseman, Tarkwa, Fijai SHS, Archbishop Porter Girls, Sekondi College, and Adiembra SHS.
