Three people were killed in an accident in Gulumpe in the Bono East Region's Kintampo North Municipality. A KIA Rhino truck with the registration number AS AS 7689-20 was involved in the accident, which was hauling cows from Buipe to Berekum.
ASO Clement Adu, the Kintampo Fire Service Commander, confirmed the event to Adom News, saying they got a distress call about 9:25 a.m. According to their findings, the driver lost control while attempting to overtake another car, forcing it to swerve into a nearby shrub.
When ASO Adu got on the site, he said that members of the National Ambulance Service were already there, assisting in the rescue of the injured. He said that he and his five-member crew were able to rip the heavily wrecked truck apart and rescue the imprisoned driver's companion and a passenger.
The remains of the deceased, which were found under the vehicle, were subsequently recovered, according to the Fire Commander.
The remains have been lodged at the Kintampo Government Hospital for identification.
