AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho has named eight Leicester City players his side should be wary of ahead of their Europa Conference League semi-final showdown on Thursday.
Roma are in the East Midlands for the first leg of their tie with Brendan Rodgers' side, and Mourinho was asked at a press conference about how both sides match up on the eve of the contest. City are in tenth place in the Premier League, whereas Roma are fifth in Serie A.
Mourinho took over a Roma side that finished last season in seventh place, and with 24-goal striker Tammy Abraham spearheading his side's attack, they have improved greatly this season. He thinks his side are deserving of taking a place in their fourth European final of their history.
Mourinho knows that Roma face a tough City side in their bid to progress to the Europa Conference League final, though. "I think Rome as a city and Roma as a club, my players, the people that work at the club, I think for the work that we have all done this season to try and improve the club at every level, I think we deserve to be in the final," he said.
"Importantly, this season was to try and improve the club at every level, I think we deserve to be in the final. "But sometimes football does not give what you deserve, and to be in the final, we have to beat a very good team with a very good coach and players."
City have hit form and have only lost three games in the last two months. Mourinho picked out eight City players he thinks can cause Roma problems - and acknowledged that they are one of the top teams in the Premier League.
"We have to be at a high level in two matches if we want to reach that dream," Mourinho added. "If you look at their attacking players, look at who they are and how many attacking players they have, probably seven or eight.
"Harvey Barnes, Marc Albrighton, Kelechi Iheanacho, Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka, Ayoze Perez, James Maddison and Ademola Lookmam. "They have got lots of attacking potential and quality, and we are talking about Leicester, by the way, not Manchester City, Liverpool or Manchester United.
"Just thinking of their attacking potential
