Four alleged thieves are being sought by the Tema Regional Police Command after a car dealer was slain near the Bampo Hotel.
On Monday, April 25, Felix Tetteh Batcha, a car salesman in Community 9, was fatally shot.
The deceased received a call from a man who indicated interest in buying one of the cars he was selling, according to the police.
According to the Service, the prospective buyer identified himself as a doctor at the Community 22 Polyclinic.
According to C/INSPR Stella Dede Dzakpasu, the chief of the Tema Public Affairs Unit, when Felix arrived at the Polyclinic, the alleged doctor claimed he was occupied at the surgery theatre and sent one of his boys to take the deceased and his companion on a test drive.
"When they arrived near the Bampo Hotel, the test driver pulled over to the side and stepped out, ostensibly to make a phone call."
"A few minutes later, three males on a motorcycle approached the dead, attempted to forcefully remove the ignition key from him, and in the ensuing fight, shot him," the police said.
