Kwame Nkrumah to be reburied - CPP
Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's party, the Convention People's Party, CPP, needs to rebury him in November 2022.
As per the party, Ghana's most memorable President and political dissident was not given a befitting entombment by the state. Nana Yaa Jantuah, General Secretary of the CPP, is of the view that, the reburial of Osagyefo will put his "fretful" soul to rest until the end of time.
Talking during a function to stamp 50 years after his passing at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum on Wednesday, she said, "… maybe, his miracle was, am I going to get a befitting entombment when the Lord calls me? A befitting entombment he didn't get, a fretful soul which necessities to rest is the most despicable aspect of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
"It is on this reason that the Convention People's Party and similar individuals in the diaspora and African nations would coordinate a befitting burial service for Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the principal President of the Republic of Ghana and the doyen of Pan-Africanism development on the planet. This occasion would happen in November, 2022."
Nana Yaa Jantuah added, "quickly, the CPP will draw out the plan of exercises that will finish in the real memorial service and will likewise initiate a memorial service council at the appointed time."
