In the Champions League team of the week, Benzema leads the line for Liverpool and Man City.

Following the end of the first leg of the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night, the European football governing body, known as UEFA, announced the Champions League team of the week.

On Tuesday night, Manchester City football club of England played Real Madrid football club of Spain at the Etihad Stadium in the opening leg of the competition, and they were able to achieve a hard-fought 4-3 victory.
