MANCHESTER UNITED'S POTENTIAL LINEUP AGAINST CHELSEA

Manchester United will return to action at Old Trafford on Thursday when they face Chelsea.

The team of Thomas Tuchel is preparing for the FA Cup final next month and has already qualified for the Champions League. Manchester United, on the other hand, has nothing to play for, with interim manager Ralf Rangnick declaring that a top-four finish is out of the question following the 3-1 loss to Arsenal.

So neither side has much on the line but pride, which, based on previous performances, is unlikely to provoke a response from this United team.

Erik ten Hag, who is pursuing his third Eredivisie title with Ajax, will take over this summer and will be keeping a close eye on happenings at Old Trafford, where several players are battling for their jobs.

Rangnick stated before of the game that a number of players, notably Harry Maguire and Jadon Sancho, are still unavailable for the visit of Chelsea. Last week, Maguire was benched against Arsenal, and it's uncertain if he'll play again this season. As a result of Sancho's absence, Rashford will almost probably be recalled.

Rangnick might utilize the game to give some of his younger players a chance to shine, with Hannibal Mejbri making his first appearance of the season at Anfield earlier this month.

Despite the fact that the bulk of the players he has enlisted are almost likely to leave this summer, he has a history of primarily leaning on the senior group.

Predicted Manchester United line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Telles; Matic, McTominay; Elanga, Fernandes, Rashford; Ronaldo
