JURGEN KLOPP'S NEW LIVERPOOL CONTRACT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

Liverpool have stated that Jurgen Klopp has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2026.

When his last contract finished in 2024, the Reds manager was set to quit Anfield and had expressed his desire to explore other interests. He and his team, on the other hand, have signed new contracts that will keep them on Merseyside for another two years.

Klopp joined Liverpool in 2015 and won the Champions League in 2019. A year later, he ended the club's long championship drought by winning the Premier League. For the first time in his career, he has won the Carabao Cup, putting the Reds on the verge of an unprecedented quadruple.

"There are so many adjectives I could use to explain how I am feeling about this news," the German told the club's website after signing a new contract. To begin, I'd use the words happy, humbled, blessed, privileged, and enthusiastic. There is so much to admire about this location. I knew that before I came here, then when I arrived, I got to know it even better, and now I know it better than before.

"It needs to be a two-way street, like any healthy relationship; you have to be right for each other." It was the feeling that we were made for one other that brought me here in the first place, and it's why I've previously extended.

Because of the amount of time we've been together, this one is unique. I had to ask myself, "Does it make sense for me to stay longer in Liverpool?"

"I came to the decision, together with my two assistant managers, Pep Lijnders and Pete Krawietz, that it was a 'Yes!' We as a club still have a youthfulness about us, which energizes me. Our owners have been extremely passionate and excited about this club for as long as I've been here, and it's apparent that this applies to our future as much as I've ever known right now."

"When the owners offered me the chance to renew," he said, "I asked myself the issue I'd pondered publicly." Do I have the enthusiasm and vibe to provide what this wonderful location needs from the person in the manager's office once more? To be honest, it didn't take me long to respond. The solution was straightforward... I'm in love with this place and I'm in great shape!"

Klopp's immediate goal is to catch Manchester City in the Premier League title chase. In their bid to retain their title, the champions have a one-point advantage over the Reds. With Chelsea as their opponents in the FA Cup final, the German is also hoping for a second domestic cup victory this season.

Liverpool defeated Villarreal in the Champions League semi-finals at Anfield on Wednesday night. The Reds are in pole position to reach the final in Paris, where they will face either City or Real Madrid, thanks to a 2-0 victory in the first leg.
