Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has been named men's footballer of the year and Chelsea's Sam Kerr ladies' footballer of the year by the Football Writers' Association (FWA).

Egypt striker Salah has scored 30 objectives for fourfold pursuing Liverpool this season, remembering 22 for the Premier League.

Australia global Kerr has scored 18 Women's Super League objectives for association pioneers Chelsea.

Salah recently won the honor in 2018.

The 29-year-old was important for the Liverpool side that beat Chelsea to lift the Carabao Cup in February.

Kerr, 28, is the main scorer in the WSL and assisted Chelsea with getting their place in May's FA Cup last against Manchester City.

"Both Mo and Sam have been exceptional this season, breaking records for club and country," FWA seat Carrie Brown said.

"As well as their exhibitions on the pitch, they are pioneers and leading figures of greatness at their clubs and particular associations."
