Deepika Dua Arora, Dietitian Mutation Diet Clinic talks about the relationship between the blood group and nutritional aspect of food consumed.
Here are the food items you should consume and avoid, according to your blood group - A, B, O and AB.

Consume: Meat, fish, eggs, kale, lettuce, broccoli, onions, pumpkins, turnip, red peppers, okra, garlic, ginger, cherries, figs, plums, prunes, raspberries, cranberries, gooseberries, animal protein, fermented foods, egg whites, chicken, sandwich, dhokla, kulcha, dosa, idli, etc.
Avoid: Spinach, cabbage, corn, cauliflower, eggplant, mushrooms, oranges, kiwi, strawberry, blackberry, coconut, green peas, peanut butter and wheat starch.

Consume: Rice, oats, rye, pasta, pumpkin, seeds, peanuts, apricots, figs, lemons, raisins, amaranth, buckwheat, wheat-based roughage, vegetarian food, wheat bran, brown rice, wheat pasta, brown poha, soya, besan chilla, etc.
Avoid: Banana, coconut, papaya, cashew, pistachios, beer, chicken, fish and eggs.

Consume: Green vegetables, eggs, low-fat dairy, oats, milk products, animal protein, oat bran, paneer, eggs, fish, oat meal and quinoa.
Avoid: Corn, buckwheat, tomatoes, peanuts, sesame seeds, wheat, chicken, fish and eggs.
Blood Group: AB

Consume: Tofu, seafood, yoghurt, goat milk, egg, walnuts, millets, oats, rye, spelt, sprouted wheat, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, cucumber, plums, berries, and combination foods like rice + daal, roti + daal, dalia, khichdi, and brown rice (pulav).
Avoid: Caffeine, alcohol, whole milk, buckwheat, corn, coconut, bananas, mangoes and black tea.
Starving and the gap in between meals does not suit this blood type.

The Olympic bronze medalist made news when she received threats from Maoist groups after she donated Rs 6 lakh — Rs 50,000 each — to the families of the 12 Central Reserve Police Force jawans killed in an encounter in Chhattisgarh in March. She decided to make the contribution on her 27th birthday. The badminton star has, in the past, made sizeable donations for various causes, earning her a number 18 spot in a 2016 list of ‘Most charitable athletes’.
Cause and effect: Nehwal said that she was pained by what happened to the jawans and this was a small contribution to the families who have “suffered irreparable loss”.

In February, the Hollywood star pledged US$15 million in grants for environmental projects, of which $3.4 million was promised specifically to causes in Ecuador. It will be used for protecting the last remaining rain-forests, including the Amazon, where the palm oil industry is threatening vast spans of land. The biggest chunk of funding—$6 million—was pledged to Global Fishing Watch, a platform that uses satellite data to monitor fishing activities.
Cause and effect: DiCaprio, after pledging the amount, asked political leaders to take more action against climate change and decried those who deny it is a problem.

Lakh The cricket legend has a soft spot for education, having bestowed charitable amounts for the cause in the past. Early this year, a municipal school in West Bengal received a donation worth Rs 76 lakh from Tendulkar to help better its facilities. Members of the school staff had sent out several letters to prominent personalities asking for help , including Tendulkar, who responded with a big cheque. Just last week, he also donated Rs 25 lakh to a hospital in Kerala’s Ernakulam for setting up a digital X-ray unit.
Cause and effect: Now in the second innings of his life, Tendulkar has said that he plans to support charities and various initiatives to help the less
fortunate, especially in areas like education and child welfare.

Australian mining magnate Andrew Forrest made one of the country’s biggest philanthropic donations in May 2017 worth $400 million to causes covering a broad spectrum of issues. The donation set a new benchmark for private sector philanthropy in Australia, which have traditionally relied on government subsidies to stay afloat.
Cause and effect: According to Forrest, he wanted his donation to include $75 million for cancer research, $75 million for higher education, $75 million for childhood education and $75 million to be directed towards fighting modern slavery.

The former New York mayor and former media mogul is not satisfied with just one donation. Bloomberg has made three bigticket charities as of August 2017. He donated $15 million to the United Nations to make up for the loss suffered from US President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the US from the Paris climate agreement, while only last month, he offered nearly $75 million to a not-for-profit art center in New York.
Cause and effect: The largest donation, however was a $300 million fund to the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore to finance an ambitious effort to target opioid addiction, gun violence and other issues that are shortening lives and disrupting communities across the US.

Warren Buffett $3.17 billion
Following in the footsteps of his long-time friend Bill Gates, Buffett made a hefty donation of roughly $3.17 billlion of Berkshire Hathaway stocks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and four family charities. Buffett has given $27.54 billion in donations since 2006 to the five charities.
Cause and effect:This is Buffett’s largest contribution in a more than decade-long plan to give away his fortune. The billionaire, in 2006, made a pledge to make annual gifts of stock to the foundations throughout his lifetime and beyond.
