MoMo specialists to meet government on May 12

The public authority has booked a gathering with the initiative of Mobile Money Agents (MMA) as a feature of the smooth execution of the Electronic Levy stage to charge a 1.5 toll on all Mobile Money exchanges.

The Electronic Levy is otherwise called E-Levy will be executed by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) on May 1, 2022, as broadly reported to help in the public authority's income activation drive.

The representative for the Mobile Money Association of Ghana, Mr. Charles Kwesi Addo made this declaration talking on Accra 100.5 FM's evening news program on Friday, April 29, 2022.

As indicated by him, the gathering is planned for the Jubilee House, the seat of government in Accra on Thursday, May 12, 2022, to hear the Association's interests about the presentation and execution of the E-demand.

He rushed to add that the affiliation has up until this point not been calculated in the execution processes for the remove from the Electronic Levy tomorrow May 1, 2022.

He said the gatherings so far have been with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), the Association of Bankers, and the Telecommunications Companies and not the MoMo specialists.

'We have not been welcome to any of such gatherings in front of the execution, he said.

Our gathering with the public authority is after the execution of the E-demand, he kept up with.

As an affiliation, we have spread the word about our interests for the specialists since the choice was taken to present the E-toll and we will repeat that when we meet with them one month from now, he added.
