Police Arrest Three Suspected Drug Dealers, Two Armed Robbers In Delta

 

 

Three suspected illicit drug dealers and two armed robbers have been apprehended by men of the Delta State Police Command at different locations in the state.

 

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this in a statement said substances suspected to be cocaine and other illicit drugs were recovered from the dealers in Ogwashi-Uku.

 

“On 26/4/2022 at about 1740hrs, the Command’s Crack Squad while acting on information, raided a suspected criminal hideout at Azugwu street, Umuonicha quarters in Ogwashi-Uku, and arrested three suspects namely; Izuagbe Theophilus ‘m’ age 20yrs, Okofu Henry ‘m’ age 22yrs, and Confidence Ugochukwu ‘f’ age 19yrs,” he stated.

 

“Exhibit recovered from them includes; one hundred and forty-seven (147) wraps of dry weeds suspected to be loud, forty-seven (47) wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine, seven (7) wraps of Colorado, and forty-four (44) wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp. Suspects are in custody and investigation is ongoing.”

 

The PPRO said the robbery suspects were nabbed by operatives attached to safer highway patrol, deployed along Benin-Sapele road in Sapele, while conducting stop and search.

 

They operatives intercepted a Toyota Camry car with reg no. APP 134 UP driven by one Osasere Megegbe, 45, in company of one Edosa Monday, 35, both of no 12 Emah Community road, Ekiadolor Benin City.

 

“During the search, one cut-to-size double barrel gun was found concealed inside the engine compartment. The suspects were promptly arrested, the gun and vehicle recovered to the station

 

“Upon further investigation and interrogation, two additional long single barrel guns shrouded under the back seat of the vehicle were also recovered. Suspects are in custody and will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.”
