An attacker, a midfielder and a striker. That is the list of positions to be filled by Real Madrid this summer.
The 'Merengues' succeeded Atletico Madrid as La Liga champions and wants to make sure that crown lasts. That is why the club have more or less outlined the players it wants to sign this summer.
'AS' lists three players as priorities: Mbappe, Tchouameni and Rudiger. Madrid want to see all three of them at the Santiago Bernabeu from next season onwards.
The big name is Kylian Mbappe. The Spaniards have been after the PSG striker for some time. His contract expires in 2022 and the French club are working to renew it, but so far they have not managed to do so.
Madrid are calm about Mbappe, according to the aforementioned source. The club have already spoken to the striker and conveyed his desire to play for Real Madrid, so they are confident they will be able to announce his signing soon.
Madrid are not settled with Mbappe, who would be the key piece of the long-term project. The club also wants to secure Tchouameni, who they see as the ideal replacement for Casemiro.
Monaco are aware of the interest that Tchouameni is attracting from the big clubs, as it is not only Madrid who want him: Liverpool are also interested. His financial demands are high and Madrid do not plan to do anything crazy for him either. The club understands that it is still early days and, perhaps, as the months go by and the summer transfer window draws to a close, Monaco will decide to lower the price.
