Okraku Mantey encouraged me to sing in the nearby vernacular - Abrewa Nana
Veteran performer, Dorcas Opoku Dakwa, referred to expertly as Abrewa Nana.Veteran artist, Dorcas Opoku Dakwa, referred to expertly as Abrewa Nana has uncovered how she changed from singing in patois.
As per the 'Odo Filla' hitmaker, Mark Okraku Mantey was the person who encouraged her to sing in the Ghanaian nearby lingo after she moved toward him to be her maker toward the start of her music profession.
She described on Kastle FM in Cape Coast "I did an unadulterated ragga or dancehall melody with patois back then and I went to see Mark Okraku Mantey be my maker around then.
"Whenever Mark Okraku Mantey paid attention to the tune I felt he'd cherish the melody with my Jamaica pronunciations to take care of me yet he said Ghanaians will not see the value in such a melody," she added.
"He encouraged me to proceed to change the whole melody into the Ghanaian nearby vernacular and I attempted to do that so I had a few incredible tunes a while later," Abrewa Nana told Amansan Krakye.
"Perhaps it wasn't the desire of God for me to work with Mark Okraku Mantey and Bandex chose to help me so from that point onwards I changed my patois tunes into Twi," she finished on the Kastle Entertainment Show.
