As a fashion designer, you will undoubtedly have some free time.
Let me begin by defining leisure time: it is a period of time when you are less busy and most likely do not have any work to perform or any customer fabric to design.
Instead of sitting around doing nothing, there are several basic costumes you can design that I'm sure your customers will enjoy. I'll show you three distinct types of clothes that you can begin sewing in your spare time:
-Simple tops or bottoms; as you can see from the photographs below, they are quite simple to design. You have the option of making the top half-cut or making it a little longer.
Lace and ankara fabrics are two of the most well-known and widely used fabrics in Nigeria.
When it comes to creating clothes, these two materials are really popular. Lace fabrics are vibrant and come in a variety of styles and textures (some are light, while others are a bit thick and heavy).
Some lace fabrics include stones (both small and large), while others include beads and other embellishments.
Ankara fabrics, on the other hand, are bright and vivid, reflecting the rich African culture in every outfit. They come in a variety of patterns with different designs drawn on them, as well as different grades ranging from hi-target to wax and so on.
The beauty of ankara fabrics is that they can be used to create both simple garments and designed accessories (earrings, bangles, and slippers) that can be worn with those outfits to make them even more beautiful.
Lace, on the other hand, can be utilized to create more elegant costumes and for more formal occasions.Even though you can throw on the first thing that comes to mind, your appearance says a lot about you.
Invest in clothes that aren't comfortable for you, and also dress for your client's convenience. Many businesspeople assume they can't afford to be stylish, yet you can express yourself without breaking the bank. Whatever industry you're in, strive to be the best you can be and match the needs of your target audience.
