Carlo Ancelotti has stated that he is willing to continue at Real Madrid for another ten years, but that he is also interested in coaching the Canadian national team.

Last summer, Ancelotti returned to the Santiago Bernabeu for a second time as manager of Real Madrid, winning the club's 35th La Liga title as well as the Supercopa de Espana.

After the Blancos' decisive 4-0 win against Espanyol on April 30, the Italian became the first manager to win a league title in all five of Europe's major leagues, and he is pleased to stay in his current position for the foreseeable future.Ancelotti, who is under contract at the Bernabeu until 2024, has stated that he expects to retire from club management when his contract expires.

However, the 62-year-old expressed his hope that this will not happen very soon, telling Amazon Prime: "After Real, yes, I'll definitely stop."

"I will coach for ten years if Real Madrid keeps me here for ten years." I want to spend time with my grandchildren and go on vacation with my wife; there are so many things I haven't done yet that I want to do.

"I'll be visiting numerous areas I've never visited before. Australia is a country I've never visited. Rio de Janeiro is a city I've never visited. I should pay more visits to my sister.Unfortunately, you can't do everything, so when I retire, I'll be left with all of these tasks."

Ancelotti's coaching abilities have benefitted Milan, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain throughout the years, but he has yet to coach at the international level. The Real Madrid coach would like to change that at some point, and has indicated interest in collaborating with Canada following their successful bid for the 2022 World Cup.

"Yes, there would be a national team," Ancelotti remarked, "but today it is premature."

"Not for this World Cup, for sure." Why not host the World Cup in 2026? It's possible. Canada? Sure, I'd want to. Canada performed admirably."

Ancelotti backs Benzema for the Ballon d'Or Ancelotti's squad is presently preparing for a Champions League semi-final second leg match against Manchester City at the Bernabeu, where they will attempt to overcome a 4-3 aggregate deficit.

At the Etihad Stadium, Karim Benzema struck twice to give the Blancos a chance of reaching the final, bringing his tally in this season's competition to six goals. The Frenchman also played a key role in Real Madrid's La Liga victory and has been tipped as a strong contender for the upcoming Ballon d'Or, something Ancelotti believes he completely deserves.

"Benzema has been decisive this season, he has solved many games for us," he remarked. "He is currently one of the most well-known athletes in the world, and he maintains a great deal of humility, which I believe is his strength.

"He's not only winning for Benzema; there's a strong club structure behind him, as well as the talent of a high-level squad." He'll take home the Ballon d'Or.
