Ghanaian award-winning rapper born Michael Owusu Addo better known by his stage name Sarkodie has revealed there is no way he is going to block people who mock or criticize him on social media. Most celebrities tend to block social media users who mock or criticize them either for good or bad reasons. Social media is a free space where people are given the equal right to share their opinion on most trending topics. Some tend to abuse this right and go to the extent and even insulting and making celebrities when they being issues about issues bothering them hence most celebrities use the block button.
In an interview with Ghanaian blogger Kobby Kyei, Sarkodie revealed that he has not yet gotten to the point where he would block a fan because he or she made an insensitive comment about him.
“I don’t know the state of mind that would make someone block somebody because the person is expressing how he or she feels so if that is how he or she feels, it doesn’t change anything on this side”
He further stated that he will only consider blocking a fan if his comments will have an impact on his mental health, family, or his career.
“Until it changes something then I would have to block you because you are messing my money up, you are messing my day up and you are messing my family up then maybe I would block, and even that I don’t think I would because I can’t feel like that”. He revealed.
Recently, he was dragged on matters concerning the e-levy addressing that, he added Ghanaians are not in support because they do not benefit from the previous taxes the government has been taking from them.
