Nigerian music sensation-born Damini Ogulu but better known as Burnaboy has hit a jackpot of over $7million on ticket sales at his just-ended Madison Square Garden concert. Popular Nigerian news sharing platform sharing the good news revealed. Burnaboy who crowned himself the African giant keeps proving to Africa why he is the Giant of Africa indeed. He is the first Nigerian artist to sell out the Madison Square Garden and will go down in the history as one of the best musicians to ever come from Africa. The venue has been sold by Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Adele, Rihanna, Jay-z, Justin Bieber, and now Burnaboy.
Burnaboy is alleged to have made about $7million on only ticket sales at the venue. the ticket was sold for as low as $80 and $350 on average and $2,125 was the highest price. According to a popular verified account identified as a business day, their calculation for the revenue was around $7million that's over an N3billion. They did this by multiplying the average ticket price which is $350 by the total capacity of the arena which is 20,789 giving them an estimated figure of over $7.2million. The event was also streamed live on youtube and currently has over 900k views.
Burnaboy has single-handedly headlined shows in Amsterdam, Dublin, Manchester, Rotterdam, and an upcoming event in Atlanta. Burnaboy recently engaged in an online feud with his colleagues Wizkid and Davido on who is the richest and highest-paid. Wizkid proved he was richer by bragging on his Instagram for making $1million from a show, Davido also proved his riches by purchasing 2 luxurious cars and selling out the o2 arena.
