Real Madrid have been busy in the transfer market looking to signing amazing talents has they just begun their dream team project which they expect their team to soon regain it's recognition after losing it since the departure of Ronaldo 37.
Aurelien Tchouameni had attracted the current laliga heavyweight champions and the giants was ready to make a move this summer transfer window. The 22-year-old is one of the most promising prospects in defensive midfield, making him highly sought after.
For a long time, Real Madrid were said to be in the driver’s seat for the Frenchman’s arrival. With Casemiro ageing, finding a backup option was seen as a priority.
However, things have changed dramatically in the past few weeks. Los Blancos have now ruled out his incorporation, and Fichajes reveal three reasons for Real Madrid’s change of plan.
The first, and the biggest factor is that AS Monaco have increased their asking price for Tchouameni. Though they initially demanded just €50 million, the Ligue 1 side have now raised the figure to €70 million.
This complicates things for Real Madrid, who already need to allocate a lion’s share of their budget and wage limit to Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger.
The second reason mentioned talks about the emergence of Dani Ceballos. The Spanish player seems set to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu next season and could be vital in covering gaps in midfield.
Finally, the third reason is the arrival of Liverpool onto the scene. Jurgen Klopp’s side look to replace Jordan Henderson and James Milner and see Tchouameni as an ideal option to take their places.
Liverpool are said to propose an economically superior offer to Tchouameni’s camp, making them the front runners in the race now. Moreover, they promise a solid long term project after Klopp’s recent renewal.
