Former world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is synonymous with his love for some, rather exorbitantly prized, ice cold bling. Moreover, the price of his watch makes the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, look poor
Musk does not consider himself a watch guy. In fact, he even revealed on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience‘ podcast that he does not wear a watch, since his watch shows the time.
But Musk does have a rather intriguing personal watch. He wears the ‘TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 SpaceX Chronograph’. It was created as a part of TAG Heuer’s collaboration with SpaceX in 2012. It was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of John Glenn wearing the first version of this watch in space in 1962.
The watch is said to cost USD 5,880 at the time of its release. He is also often seen wearing an ‘Omega Aqua’ that costs around USD 4,600.
The cost of Musk’s watches might be high for the regular person. However, the price of Mayweather‘s watch throws the entire perspective out of the window.
With a nickname like ‘Money’, Mayweather sure knows how to make an emperor look poor.
He wears the ‘Billionaire Tourbillion Watch’ by Jacob & Co that costs a mind numbing USD 18 million. The watch has a whopping 239 emerald cut diamonds. Moreover, each of these diamonds are said to weigh up to 3 carats.
