The current champions of Europe have been clinical at the early start of the season but slowed down due to injury of some of their key players which made them to lose chances of winning the premier league which they were contenders of and maintaining their champions league glory.

The blues suffered a shocking defeat at the Standford bridge before moving to the bernabeu to try and win against the current crowned champions of lalliga but couldn't not overpower them though they scored Madrid at their home but their victory couldn't surpass both legs of the game as Madrid was still ahead.

JACKPOT Chelsea set for cash windfall if Real Madrid win Champions League final against Liverpool due to clause in Eden Hazard transfer deal

Chelsea hope that the current champions of laliga can win over the premier league giants Liverpool in the Champions League final and land themselves a healthy cash injection.

The current champions of laliga ended the week in a wonder as they can behind Manchester city to snatched a dramatic 3-2 extra-time win over Manchester City to book their place in the Champions League final.

Real Madrid made it through the premier league giants through a penalty by Benzema to a 6-5 aggregate victory Madrid now have eyes on their 14th success but will have to overcome Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the showpiece final in Paris later this month.

The Spanish giants won’t be the only ones hoping they make it lucky 14, as a win for Carlo Ancelotti’s men would present Chelsea with a huge windfall.

A clause inserted into the deal that took Eden Hazard from Chelsea to Real Madrid in 2019 included an extra cash payment if Los Blancos successfully captured the Champions League crown with Hazard at the club.

Real Madrid agreed an initial £88 million cash payment with the Blues for the Belgian international’s services, with further potential payments taking the price to a whopping £130m.

Hazard has endured an injury-laden spell in the Spanish capital and is currently on the sidelines with a season-ending ankle injury picked up in March.

His last appearance for Madrid came on February 19 against Alaves and has only one goal to his name this term, coming in a Copa del Rey tie at Elche.

Despite just 22 appearances in all competitions this season, three of them came in the Champions League, so he would be eligible to receive a winners medal, should Madrid topple the Reds.

Chelsea will be hoping that Roman Abramovich can complete the sale of the club in time for the final.

If the successful sale of the club goes through, current government sanctions against the club will be lifted, leaving the Blues free to recoup any outstanding payments
