What Tammy Abraham has done to prove Thomas Tuchel wrong about the Chelsea mishap with Romelu Lukaku
Chelsea News: With his actions in Rome, the former Cobham Academy graduate continues to make Thomas Tuchel pay.
Tammy Abraham, a former Chelsea striker, set a European record for Roma in the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League semi-final against Premier League regulars Leicester City.
Abraham, 24, made his name in Italy in such a short time, much like Romelu Lukaku, with his rampant form for Jose Mourinho's side. It has been reported that Arsenal are considering capitalizing on Chelsea's error this summer, but the man in question reportedly has 'no intention' of returning to England anytime soon.
This he demonstrated once more in Roma's second leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final. Abraham powerfully converted Lorenzo Pellegrini's pinpoint corner only ten minutes into the second leg, sending the Stadio Olimpico into raptures.
It was the 24-year-ninth old's goal of the Conference League season and his 25th goal of the season overall, and he is the first English player to reach that mark at this point in 2021/22, demonstrating the excellent decision he made in the summer to join Mourinho's project.
