Liverpool vs. Tottenham Hotspur - Preview ,missing players ,prediction, team news, available players, lineups,Kick - off time
Liverpool's relentless quadruple pursuit continues on Saturday evening, when they host top-four rival Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool play their penultimate home game of an unforgettable season against a team that has a lot riding on the game.
Team Updates
Liverpool avoided any new injuries during their midweek trip to Spain, with only Roberto Firmino remaining a doubt for Klopp.
The Brazilian traveled to Villarreal with the squad but did not make the squad, and Klopp hinted in his pre-match press conference that he might hold him back again to ensure he is fully fit for Tuesday's match against Aston Villa.
Luis Diaz's half-time introduction was largely credited with sparking Liverpool's comeback at El Madrigal, and the Colombian has almost certainly earned a place back in the starting XI for this match.
The big question is who will play alongside him in the front three, with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah both playing the full 90 minutes in midweek and Diogo Jota only getting 45.
It would not be surprising to see one of Mane or Salah rested this weekend, though next week's match at Aston Villa may be a better option with one eye on the FA Cup final next Saturday.
Mane, by the way, is attempting to score for the 50th time in a Premier League game at Anfield, where he has never lost at the stadium when he has scored in his previous 49 such occasions -the best record in Premier League history in this category
Given the constant turnover in fixtures, Klopp is expected to freshen up other areas of the pitch, with Jordan Henderson likely to come into the midfield and Joel Matip set to return in place of Ibrahima Konate in defense.
Meanwhile, Alisson Becker may have one eye on equaling Petr Cech's all-time Premier League clean sheet record of 24, which he could do if he does not concede again this season.
But Kane will have something to say about that, as the England captain has seven goals and two assists in 13 Premier League meetings with Liverpool, including four goals and one assist in seven games at Anfield.
Meanwhile, Son is chasing Salah in the Golden Boot race and will look for his 20th goal of the season this weekend.
Tottenham have no new injury concerns, but they continue to have a longer list of absentees than their opponents, with the full-back positions particularly hard hit.
Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, and Japhet Tanganga are still out, and Oliver Skipp will be out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery.
Kulusevski sat out against Leicester but is expected to return to the starting lineup for this game.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Mane, Diaz
Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:
Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son
PREDICTION : Liverpool 3-2 Tottenham Hotspur
