Chelsea vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers -Preview,missing players, prediction, available players, team news, lineups, kick - off time
Chelsea return to home comforts at Stamford Bridge for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers, who may be looking nervously over their shoulder.
Last weekend, the Blues were defeated 1-0 by relegation-threatened Everton, while Bruno Lage's side were humiliated 3-0 in front of their own fans by Brighton & Hove Albion.
The visitors to Stamford Bridge have not drawn a Premier League game since December, when they drew 0-0 at Molineux against Chelsea, and another dull encounter here could see the Blues record a trio of goalless draws against a single league opponent for the first time ever.
Team Updates
While Mateo Kovacic's legs were strong enough to last 45 minutes at Goodison Park, Tuchel admitted that he "had to take" Jorginho off in the loss to Everton, and the Croatian came on to replace him.
Jorginho and N'Golo Kante have been ruled out of this match, while Andreas Christensen and Ross Barkley are expected to return from their respective injuries.
Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi are still out for the Blues, and Tuchel is likely to consider replacing them with either Christian Pulisic or Hakim Ziyech after last weekend's gaffe.
Wolves have been dealt a devastating blow with the news that right-back Nelson Semedo will miss the rest of the season due to a thigh injury suffered in the early stages of the second half against Brighton.
Daniel Podence and Maximilian Kilman are keeping Semedo company in the medical room, with the latter also out for the rest of the season, but Ruben Neves' half-time exit last time out was pre-planned following his recent layoff.
Fabio Silva's half-time substitution last time out was purely tactical, and the youngster will almost certainly make way for Raul Jimenez this week, while Pedro Neto could also make the starting lineup.
Furthermore, Lage will not be on the Wolves' bench this weekend due to a positive COVID-19 test.
Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Alonso; Mount, Pulisic; Havertz
Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup:
Sa; Boly, Coady, Saiss; Jonny, Neves, Moutinho, Ait-Nouri; Hwang, Jimenez, Neto
PREDICTION : Chelsea 2-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
