Communications Team Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Saka Salia, says the newly implemented Electronic Transactions Levy (E-Levy) has come to life. The 1.5percent E-Levy kicked off on Sunday, May 1, 2022, irrespective of public objection.
The 5 transactions affected by the e-levy include momo transfers amongstclientsat theequal network, momo transfers amongstclients on precise networks, Transfers from economicgroupmoney owed to momo money owed, Transfers from momo money owed to economicgroupmoney owed, and Inter-economicgroup transfers usingdigitalsystemsat the side ofmobile applications.
The e-levy upon its kick-off will become fraught with a fewstressfulconditionsat the side of the non-software program of some exemptions from the tax.
