David Moyes has apologized for flipping out and conflicting with an Eintracht Frankfurt ball kid as his side crashed out of the Europa League.
The Hammers fell 2-1 in the main leg at home and were soon facing it in the return apparatus when Aaron Cresswell was shipped off after only 19 minutes, with Frankfurt scoring the main objective of the game before long.
Moyes joined Cresswell in the stands subsequent to being shown his own red card late in the tie, volleying the ball toward the Frankfurt ball kid in the wake of becoming baffled with what he felt were explicit timewasting strategies.
"I need to apologize for kicking the ball at the ball kid," said Moyes. "He shortchanged it, it was pleasantly on the volley for me, yet I am sorry for it.
"I didn't hit him, I think I just twisted it past him. He tossed it extremely short when he might have tossed me the ball, he decided to shortchange it. As I said, I am sorry for that. However, it was a major event we were attempting to win tonight."While Moyes had no bad things to say with his own excusal, he made a move to censure the authorities' exhibition all through the game, especially featuring the enlivened reaction from the Frankfurt seat following Cresswell's shipping off.
"I thought it wasn't extraordinary directing this evening," said the West Ham chief. "Aaron has given the ref a choice to make, however I was more disheartened with the Frankfurt seat. The entire seat fell off and I had an altercation with the fourth authority since I had left my square, yet their entire seat was [doing the same].
"I'm truly disheartened with the response of the seat [to Cresswell's challenge]. You don't respond in like that. I trust my seat wouldn't. Perhaps that is what I want to do. Perhaps we really want to fundamentally have an impact on the manner in which we attempt to be right."
