HONEST IN RELATIONSHIPS

This is not the only grey area when it comes to honesty in relationships, however. Most people have extremely private thoughts that they are hesitant to disclose to others, no matter how close they may be. They may even be dishonest with themselves about their most private and vulnerable thoughts.

These private thoughts may range from completely harmless, such as finding a stranger on the plane cute, to those that may be more hurtful to your partner, such as having a sexual fantasy with a person you both know. While it may seem like you or your partner are not supposed to have such thoughts, they are perfectly natural, and disclosing them may only create doubt and uncertainty in your relationship.

There's a time and a place for honesty. This isn't to say that you shouldn't always be honest, but if you want to have a deep conversation about your needs or concerns, it's best to set aside a time to do so. Audrey Hope, a celebrity relationship expert, suggests finding a time where your partner is open to talk. "If your partner had a hard day, if your partner was stuck in traffic, if your partner is hungry –– pay attention," Hope says. "Let them settle in and don't hit them with something heavy.

Whether you realize it or not, there’s something to be said about being honest. They say that honesty is the best policy, and this is the most accurate policy regarding honesty. In all your relationships, honesty is one of the foundations that make your relationships strong and have the ability to withstand everything.

In fact, being honest says more about your character and your values than anything else. When you have honesty, this means people can trust you with absolutely anything and everything.

However, one lie is all it takes for someone to doubt you wholeheartedly. In this article, we’ll be talking about exactly why honesty is the best policy.

It is believed that honesty is the basis of every virtue. Indeed, only an honest, truthful attitude towards other people is actually moral, because it involves the recognition of their dignity. No one wants to be deceived and should not act in this way in relation to others.

The importance of honesty is a value that has always been taught in the family, society, and school. Honesty is the main reason to trust a person. It is the instrument to talk with the truth and win other’s trust. A person that has won its friend’s trust is a person that is honest. The society, as well as its family members, will have confidence and feel that they can rely on the person.

Being honest improves the relationship and saves us from having to live a lie. Lies rarely come on their own: one will usually be needed to cover another until it spirals out of control. This becomes complicated for the one who started it and confusing for the one receiving it. More than that, living a lie is hard work. It means not being yourself or enjoying relationships, and that is not comfortable for anyone. On the other hand, while being honest about difficult situations may be uncomfortable at first, if it can be worked through, the relationship is strengthened, trust is built and love is deepened.
