Alhaji Sulemana Iddrisu Alias Professor Kalamonia, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Savannah Regional Chairman, has expressed his desire to seek reelection, pledging to assure the party's total triumph in the 2024 general elections.
He decided to run for re-election in the next regional elections since he had clearly delivered on his pledge to gain several Parliamentary seats for the NPP in the previous elections.
He conceded in a statement that the 2024 elections will be difficult, and that he should be kept to complete his unfinished program.
He emphasized that his primary goal and obligation is to lead the NPP to successfully "Break the 8-Year Cycle."
According to Alhaji Sulemana Iddrisu, he was a newcomer to the 2020 general elections as Regional Chairman, although he had previously broken the NDC's grip in Gonjaland.
He credited the NPP's hard work at all levels for the win in 2020, and praised government appointees in the area for their unwavering support.
"Within one and a half years of taking office as Regional Chairman, we went to elections and won three solid seats." This was due to the leadership we gave with the help of my esteemed Constituency Executives, Government Appointees, and our party's grassroots in the region."
