NDC NEEDS UNITY TO RECAPTURE POWER – OFOSU AMPOFO

To reclaim political power, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for ultimate unity among the party's throngs of fans and sympathizers.

 

"It is an accepted reality that global events like the Russian-Ukraine war and COVID-19 have caused obstacles, but inadequate governance has exacerbated Ghanaians' predicament," he stated. Operational setbacks will unsettle your economy if your crisis management is lacking."

 

As a result, Mr Ofosu Ampofo urged NDC members to get down to work for mother Ghana, stating, "We have a mandate to regain political power in election 2024 to restore Ghanaian dignity, decent governance, and implement pro-poor policies to relieve the challenges."

 

Mr Ernest Henry Norgbey, NDC Member of Parliament for the Ashaiman Constituency, arranged an event called "Honouring our Heroes and Heroines" to honor and celebrate mothers, according to the NDC National Chairman.

 

Some NDC Members of Parliament from Accra and the Volta Region, National, Regional, Constituency, Branch Executives, and members of the public gathered at Ashaiman for the event.

 

Mr Ofosu Ampofo challenged NDC executives at all levels to visit cadres and comrades who had served the party but were no longer in active duty on a regular basis to see how they were doing.

 

He stated that the NDC will shortly reveal its internal reform strategy ahead of the 2024 general elections as the first step toward regaining political power.

As a result, he urged all supporters of the party to take part in the reorganization.

 

 

 

Mr Ofosu Ampofo thanked the Ashaiman Member of Parliament for putting up the program to reward the residents.

 

 

 

Mr Norgbey, who organized the event to honor mothers and some significant members of the Ashaiman Constituency, said that the seventh edition of the event aimed to enhance constituents' livelihoods.

 

 

 

The Member of Parliament for Ashaiman noted that the NDC party needs to honor persons who had served the party at various levels, emphasizing that such gestures would invigorate other members to do their best to assist the party organize its supporters to fight hard for electoral triumph in 2024.

 

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Ms Zainab Mohammed, Deputy Communications Officer of the NDC in Ashaiman Constituency, said that the Member of Parliament honored over 1,000 women, including single moms.

 

 

 

She said that 32 other people were recognized for their contributions to the NDC in the Ashaiman Constituency.

 

 

 

Citations, LED televisions, beds, and sewing machines were among the products available.
