While celebrating Chelsea's third goal against Leeds United last night, Graeme Souness noticed how delighted both Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech appeared.
Souness, speaking on Sky Sports after the game yesterday, emphasized the two players' smiles, who have often been unhappy this season.
Lukaku reclaims the spotlight Lukaku had every right to be beaming from ear to ear by the final whistle.
The striker put up a strong performance in Chelsea's 3-0 win, which included his third goal in two Premier League games.
He held up his end of the bargain, shrugging off Leeds' defenders, running the channels, and connecting with his teammates.Everything a £97.5 million (Sky) centre-forward should be.
But the Belgian would have been disappointed if he hadn't found the back of the goal.
Fortunately, his efforts were rewarded with seven minutes of time remaining.
Chelsea, led by Ruben Loftus-Cheek, caught Leeds off guard.
Lukaku was running to the left, but Loftus-Cheek fed Ziyech to the right.
This allowed the Moroccan to cross the ball to his target, who was racing across the box.
Lukaku appeared to have lost the opportunity by taking a first touch rather than firing.
He, on the other hand, kept his cool and waited for an opportunity before smashing through Illan Meslier.Lukaku and Ziyech are celebrating the right way.
The goal scorer hugged his assister, a rare moment of ecstasy for the duo in recent months.
It was certainly a different scene from the one carved out by Lukaku during his darkest period following the release of the Sky Italia interview, in which he appeared to criticize his team's style of play.
"I don't understand." "He said something to the effect of they aren't playing to my abilities, and then he stormed off," Souness grumbled.
"If you're a striker, you just want the ball delivered as soon as possible and as accurately as possible."
"You play aggressively and run about." I don't understand.Look at how happy he is there!" While seeing Lukaku and Ziyech celebrate on the Elland Road grass, the former Liverpool manager continued.
"Ziyech and him." I know they've both been away from the team, but they appear to be really happy there."

It only goes to show how quickly football can be turned upside down.
Lukaku was linked with a move away from Chelsea just a few weeks ago.
Now, it looks that Thomas Tuchel has discovered the correct recipe for record signing, and there is reason to be optimistic about the future. With three games left in the season, including the FA Cup final, fingers crossed Romelu can finish well.
