Barcelona's policy in the forthcoming summer transfer window has been described in a recent article from Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona's board of directors wants the club to compete for championships next season. However, they agree that the present squad's talent may not be sufficient to compete in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
As a result, the club is expected to have a busy summer transfer window, with Xavi requiring at least two choices in each position. He wants at least five additional acquisitions in addition to Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie, who have already been signed.

As Xavi tries to usher in a new era at Camp Nou, Barcelona believes a number six could be enough to enable the squad contend for the league title and do well in the UEFA Champions League.
