Group 3 of the Green Incubation Program has been introduced
Four other women-headed businesses will receive a variety of Business support training under the auspices of the GrEEn Incubation Program of SMEs launched by SNV Ghana in partnership with Duapa Workspace.
Selected businesses also form the third group of the GrEEn Incubation Program for SMEs which will be taken up by opportunities to support investment in the field of environmental care, training and training, and the pursuit of market communication, specifically aimed at enhancing their growth and investment readiness.
These businesses will be connected to local and international investors with funding from SNV Ghana.
The project falls under the Green Employment and Enterprise Opportunities in Ghana sponsored by the European Union and the Dutch Ambassador to Ghana.
The project aims to create economic opportunities and job opportunities for youth, women, and immigrants by promoting and supporting sustainable, green businesses in the Western and Ashanti regions.
In his welcoming address, Mr. John K Gyimah, a special guest at the event, congratulated Duapa Workspace on its establishment aimed at training and skills development and commended Duapa Workspace for completing the Two Teams, and urged the incubators to strive to do better than the predecessors.
Ms. Hilda Abambire, SNV Ghana's Communications Marketing Consultant at the official launch of the Duapa Workspace Group, a technology center, and Innovation hub, said it had “decided to give women a chance because the two groups have passed, the percentage of men. The businesses they own were almost 70% so this was to close that gap ”.
According to her, the third team will consist of 12 female SMEs all of who will enter the incubator program to provide training tailored to meet specific needs.
The six-month plan will also provide them with business management skills, access to finance, proper record keeping, and presentation of investment ideas under a four-year entrepreneurship support program.
Mr. Patrick Akowuah, Regional Director of Agriculture W / R also expressed his deep appreciation for Duapa Workspace and its efforts in supporting and refining the startups.
He highly commended the GrEEn incubation program and thanked SNV Ghana for such an initiative to preserve the environment and promote green businesses.
Mr. Kenneth Ferguson-Laing, Duapa Workspace Community Communications Coordinator said selected businesses have undergone boot camp training and met all the requirements.
He prayed that they would take this opportunity seriously, follow the study instructions and pay close attention to receive the greatest benefits in six months of training.
