Cristiano Ronaldo has been already dropped by Luis Diaz, and Real Madrid should be concerned

Cristiano Ronaldo has already been passed by Luis Diaz, and Real Madrid should be concerned.

Luis Diaz has proactively scored or assisted on seven goals in Liverpool's toughest matches.

Luis Diaz, without a doubt, has taken to English football like a duck to water. His start to his Liverpool career has been so impressive that he was recently featured in an article in The Guardian as the best Premier League transfer of 2021/22. The entire season, not just the January window.

As the three most expensive transfers – Jack Grealish, Romelu Lukaku, and Jadon Sancho – have all underperformed, the prospect of Diaz arriving is tantalizing, The expansion does not appear to be frivolous. In Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur last week, the Colombian made his most recent mark on the title race.

The Reds were looking for a balancer when their new number 23 cut in from the left and released a shot that found its way into the back of the Kop end net. The goal was simply the most recent commitment Diaz has made in large matches this season, aided by a diversion.

When Liverpool defeated Manchester United 4-0 at Anfield for the second time in 2021/22, the former Porto player was equally elaborate. Diaz, who scored the first goal, was associated with the business end of the development for the second prior to assisting the third for Sadio Mane.

With his negative mark against Tottenham, the Liverpool newcomer has three goal appearances against different individuals from the Premier League's big six clubs. Prohibit punishments, and that matches the sums of Harry Kane and Riyad Mahrez in the league this season, among others, and is more than any of Chelsea's advances at FA Cup last opponents. Only 11 players have more than Diaz, and four of them are Anfield teammates.

Regardless of the fact that he just moved to England at the end of January, only three players have more 'big six' goal commitments than Diaz since becoming a Red: Cristiano Ronaldo, with five, and Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah, with four each. While the edges aren't great, this trio has all played more minutes in these big games than the Colombian has as well.

Furthermore, we should not forget that he has been scoring and setting up goals in the Champions League. Diaz provided his most memorable assist for the Reds in their 3-1 victory over his former club's ferocious rivals, Benfica, and then finished the scoring himself. He then jumped out of his seat to pack the adjuster in last week's win over Villarreal, earning a 9 in the post-match ratings despite only playing 45 minutes. The 25-year-old is making up for not scoring in the knockout stage with Porto.

Because Ronaldo did not score or assist in that frame of mind of 16 when Manchester United were taken out by Atletico Madrid, Diaz has more goal commitments in Europe and 'huge six' association matches in recent months than him. To put it another way, Diaz has four goals in the most difficult games a team is likely to face this season, while Grealish has five in all rivalries against anyone this season.

Perhaps his family was never mentioned in such games. Diaz scored a significant goal against Manchester City in the Champions League in 2020 and appeared in the net against AC Milan in the group stage this season.

In any case, adding goals against Benfica, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Villarreal, as well as Everton – a significant match regardless of the circumstances – demonstrates Diaz's has no issues at the apex of the game. Chelsea and Real Madrid would be wise to keep an exceptionally close eye on the Colombian throughout the following couple of weeks.
