Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk were urged off injured in the FA Cup final against Chelsea
Salah sat down on the field shortly after the half-hour mark, clutching his groin, before being replaced by Diogo Jota; Van Dijk left the field before extra time; Liverpool has two Premier League games remaining, followed by the Champions League final against Real Madrid on May 28.
Mohamed Salah was forced off for Liverpool in the FA Cup final win over Chelsea with what appeared to be a groin injury, while Virgil van Dijk played the full 90 minutes but did not return for extra time.
Salah collapsed on the field shortly after the half-hour mark, clutching his groin, and despite rising to his feet, walked off to be replaced by Diogo Jota - who has scored 23 goals for club and country this season.
Van Dijk was taken off before extra time began, with Joel Matip replacing him, and told ITV after the game: "We're going to check it out." I felt a twinge behind my knee in the first half when I sprinted, but I kept playing.
"In the end, I can't risk it for the sake of the team, and I have to trust Joel." Hopefully, everything will be fine."
When asked about the health of both players, Jurgen Klopp stated, "I spoke to both of them after the game and both are really OK." We only know that it's not a big deal, but the next game is on Tuesday. I believe they will be fine."
Van Dijk appeared to be in good spirits after the game, dancing in the dressing room with the FA Cup while his team-mates sang his name.
Fabinho, the midfielder, was ruled out with a hamstring injury suffered against Aston Villa in midweek.
After a 0-0 draw in 120 minutes, Liverpool won the game on penalties 6-5.
Klopp's side will play in this year's Champions League final in Paris on May 28, as well as their remaining Premier League fixtures against Southampton on Tuesday and Wolves at Anfield on May 22.
The forward has 30 goals for Liverpool this season, as well as two for Egypt, and is an important part of the Reds' historic quest for a quadruple.
Back in February, the 29-year-old scored twice and assisted on another in a 6-0 win over struggling Leeds, bringing his goal involvement total to 160 - a new Premier League record for an African player
Salah has yet to commit to a long-term future at Anfield, with contract talks ongoing - the Egypt international's current deal expires in 2023.
