Xavi Hernandez and Joan Laporta settled on 5 players who need to leave Barcelona

Xavi and Joan Laporta has settled on 5 players who need to leave Barcelona toward the finish of this season.

Barcelona are supposed to go through a massive squad update in the summer. Xavi Hernandez wants to redo the squad and address its deficiencies so as to mount a test on all fronts next season.

We hope to see an exodus of sorts at Barcelona this summer. Several players have been connected with an exit from the Camp Nou. Some of those players don't seem to have a realistic possibility getting customary game time or being successful at Barcelona.

There are also a couple of players who are in an ideal situation playing at a group more suited to their style. Right away, how about we investigate five players who need to leave Barcelona this summer.

Samuel Umtiti

In a perfect world, Samuel Umtiti should have left Barcelona quite some time ago. The French World Cup victor has neglected to realize his true capacity at the Camp Nou and his niggling knee injury has been a significant contributing variable to it.

Barcelona have been quick to offload him for quite a while now. As indicated by a report on Mundo Deportivo (through Marca), Umtiti burst into tears as he argued club president Joan Laporta not to sell him last summer.

Umtiti has shown up across all competitions for Barcelona this season. Assuming that the Frenchman plans on playing football, he should secure a switch to a position of safety club as his Barcelona dreams are probably not going to work out.

Clement Lenglet

Diario Sport asserted recently that Clement Lenglet is probably going to leave Barcelona toward the finish of the season. The middle back joined the Catalans in the summer of 2018 from Sevilla for €36 million. In the wake of impressing in his first two or three seasons, his structure has followed off drastically.

Lenglet has now fallen underneath Gerard Pique, Ronald Araujo and Eric Garcia in the food chain. With Barcelona having allegedly currently agreed to sign Andreas Christensen on a free transfer, Lenglet doesn't seem to be a piece of Xavi Hernandez's plans for the following season.

He is attached to Barcelona until 2026 which means that Barcelona will actually want to bring in a seriously fair measure of cash through his sale. The 22-year-old has started just nine games across La Liga and the Champions League this season.

Riqui Puig

Following the development of top, youthful talents like Pedri, Gavi and Nico Gonzalez, Riqui Puig has turned into a fringe figure at Barcelona. The La Masia graduate disappointed Ronald Koeman and has now neglected to present a defense for himself under Xavi Hernandez as well.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the 22-year-old has arrived at the understanding that leaving Barcelona would be the best thing for his profession at the present time. He is set to turn 23 in August and should play consistently assuming he is to amplify his true capacity.

Puig's ongoing agreement with the Catalans expires in 2023. As such, they are probably going to be available to cashing in on him this summer. In 15 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona this season, Puig has scored just one goal.

Martin Braithwaite

Following the appearance of the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Martin Braithwaite has become undesirable at Barcelona. According to a report in Diario Sport in April, Braithwaite does not highlight in Xavi Hernandez's plans for the present or what's in store.

The Danish striker has been used sparingly this season and has included just two times for Barcelona in 2022. He was sidelined between August 30 and January 20 with a knee injury. Braithwaite has scored two goals in five appearances across all competitions for Barcelona so far this season.

The issue at hand is obvious to everyone and it is the ideal opportunity for both the player and the club to head out in different directions.

#1 Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay joined Barcelona in the summer of 2021 on a free transfer. The Dutch forward started off in great shape to life at the club however his contributions have dwindled in the second 50% of the season.

A hamstring injury and an achilles ligament issue saved him down and out for around two months. When he returned in February, Barcelona had strengthened their going after office significantly.

The appearance of Ferran Torres, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Adama Traore implied that Depay's position in the starting setup was under danger. The 28-year-old has not highlighted as extensively as he would have enjoyed from that point onward.

As per AS, Xavi has let Joan Laporta know that he is quick to keep Depay and Frenkie De Jong at the club next season. Notwithstanding, Barcelona are prepared to acknowledge a proposal in the vicinity of €30 million for the Dutch forward.

Depay should consider leaving Barcelona as he could be the first-decision marksman for a top European side. That would be a greatly improved choice for the previous Manchester United man, who has demonstrated that he has the stuff to cut it at the highest level.
