Luis Suarez bids Atletico goodbye as Sevilla fit the bill for UCL

Luis Suarez said he will always have Atletico Madrid in his heart after the striker said farewell to the club's home fans following a 1-1 draw against Sevilla on Sunday.

The result implied Sevilla at long last affirmed their place in LaLiga's main four as a late adjuster by Youssef En-Nesyri at the Wanda Metropoliano secured capability for the Champions League.

"Much thanks to you Lucho for making us champions", read a goliath flag spread out in the group before start off while Suarez was visibly sad as he strutted the pitch with his family after all day.

The 35-year-old is set to leave Atletico when his two-year agreement expires this summer.

Subsequent to being constrained out with cash-strapped Barcelona in 2020, Suarez got payback by demonstrating instrumental in Atletico's amazing LaLiga title win last season, when he scored 21 goals in 32 association appearances and finished as the group's top scorer.

The Uruguayan has been useful yet less determined this term, scoring 14 goals in 48 appearances and his own plunge from last year's elevated requirements has been symptomatic of Atletico's malaise all the more for the most part.

Suarez has frequently started on the seat since the turn of the year, with Joao Felix increasingly liked by Atletico mentor Diego Simeone.

"I thank all the Atletico fans, all of them," said Suarez afterwards.

"The adoration they gave me since I showed up has been astonishing and I won't fail to remember it. I attempted to return it on the pitch, I gave myself 200% to a club that made its ways for me.

"I will always convey the love of this club with me after not having the option to live it up the previous season. I will take Atletico with me in my heart."

Jose Gimenez's first-half header looked set to give Atletico triumph and with Real Betis beating Granada, Sevilla's battle for fourth would have gone down to a nail-gnawing last day.

Instead, En-Nesyri gestured in Oliver Torres' cross with five minutes staying to acquire Sevilla the point they expected to ensure their main four spot, following an immensely disappointing not many weeks that has seen their mentor Julen Lopetegui go under pressure.

Instead, Lopetegui was tossed very high by Sevilla's commending players after the last whistle.

En-Nesyri's adjuster also forestalled Atletico ensuring third spot.

Atletico sit a point in front of Sevilla and have an extreme excursion away at Real Sociedad to finish the season one weekend from now. Sevilla will play at home to Athletic Bilbao.

Real Sociedad fought against eminent loss to overcome Villarreal 2-1 at La Ceramica in what was charged as the sudden-demise match for Europa League capability.

Villarreal needed to win to keep their hopes of finishing sixth alive and started to lead the pack after Francis Coquelin's aerobatic exertion just before halftime.

Be that as it may, La Real came storming back in the second half, Alexander Isak tapping in at the back post before Martin Zubimendi goaded in after Villarreal neglected to clear.

It means Real Sociedad and Real Betis will play in the Europa League next season while Villarreal sit a point in front of Athletic Bilbao and could require a result away at Barcelona on the last day to fit the bill for the Europa Conference League.

BARCA SEAL SECOND PLACE

Barcelona sealed second spot albeit a boring, goalless draw away at Getafe extends a disappointing finish to the mission for the Catalans.

The result, however, suited the two teams as a point ensured Getafe's survival while Barca fit the bill for the Spanish Super Cup, which earns them around 8,000,000 euros.

Cadiz are solidly in the center of the assignment battle and left the Nuevo Mirandilla disappointed, despite a 1-1 attract at home to as of now delegated champions Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti continues to pivot his group in front of the Champions League last against Liverpool on May 28 and Cadiz were the latest group to benefit, with Karim Benzema, Thibaut Courtois and Luka Modric all left at home.

Madrid started to lead the pack when Mariano Diaz steered in and keeping in mind that Cadiz balanced through Ruben Sobrino, they might have won it when Andrey Lunin cut down Alvaro Negredo and the ref highlighted the spot. Lunin, however, set things straight by saving Negredo's spot-kick.

Mallorca are level on points with Cadiz after they gave their survival hopes a significant boost by beating Rayo Vallecano 2-1, Abdon Prats scoring a mind blowing 92nd-minute champ at Son Moix.

Granada, who are one point in front of Mallorca and Cadiz, lost 2-0 away at Real Betis. Alaves join Levante in being consigned after they lost to Levante 3-1.
