Newcastle are apparently interested in signing Roma manager Jose Mourinho, although 'The Special One' may need convincing.
Under Eddie Howe, the Magpies have made a stunning comeback, avoiding relegation and aiming to finish in the middle of the Premier League standings this season. Despite his achievements, it appears that the former Bournemouth manager's job is in jeopardy.
Following the resignation of Steve Bruce in late October, the Toon chose Howe after being passed over by Unai Emery and Jose Mourinho. However, it appears that the club's ambitious new owners are still looking for a European manager.Newcastle haven't given up hope of selecting Mourinho as manager, according to MARCA, and are reportedly trying to entice the former Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham manager back to the Premier League. The Toons, on the other hand, appear to have their job cut out for them.
When asked about his future at Roma and the possibility of returning to the Premier League, the Portuguese coach told Sky Sports: "Everything is peaceful right now because I have two more years on my deal.

Given Howe's success, it's unlikely the Magpies will look for a new manager, but with trophies on the horizon, who better to guide the team to victory than Mourinho?
