Tottenham will make permanent agreements for Dejan Kulusevski and Cristian Romero this summer, completing an incredible double swoop.

This season, the duo has been on loan at Tottenham Hotspur and have made an impression on head coach Antonio Conte, who is looking to rebuild the Spurs team in his image. The Premier League team will spend roughly £67 million [€80 million] for the two players, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Conte's side has already qualified for next season's Champions League after Arsenal's 2-0 loss to Newcastle on Tuesday night, a result that means the Lilywhites would have to make a huge error to drop out at this stage. While Harry Kane and Heung-min Son have received the majority of the praise, Kulusevski and Romero have also excelled, with Conte describing them as "quite satisfied."

Kulusevski has shone in particular, with the 22-year-old swiftly becoming a fan favorite and even having a new song written for him by fans.

Since joining on loan from Juventus in January, Kulusevski has proven to be a successful attacking player, scoring three goals and assisting eight times in 19 matches.

In that time, he's also established himself as the club's definitive third attacker, alongside Kane and Son.Romero, on the other hand, is the defender who many believe Tottenham has needed for some time.

Despite an injury-plagued first half of the season, the Argentina international has made 30 appearances for the club and has established himself as Conte's most trustworthy defensive asset since joining on loan from Atalanta last summer.

On Monday Night Football, Romero received plaudits from Jamie Carragher, who described him as a "great player."

"I truly like him," he said. Perhaps since Romero is in my position, I recall seeing him at Man City early in the season and thinking he was great. He takes the ball aggressively every time I watch him play. He reminds me a little bit of Chelsea's Ricardo Carvalho.

"He's not the largest defender, but he's intelligent, switched on, and calm on the ball." Tottenham, I believe, has a genuine player on their hands.
