'Rangers are a blend of West Ham and Barcelona'
Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner praised the playing style of their Europa League last opponents Rangers, comparing them to the German side's previous conquests Barcelona and West Ham United.
Eintracht dispatched Spanish giants Barcelona in the quarterfinal, prior to beating London club West Ham in the semis and Glasner feels those encounters give his side a reference point for Wednesday's last in Seville.
"I see a blend of West Ham United and Barcelona. The Dutch impact of their coach (Giovanni van Bronckhorst) in their development play, yet with the British attitude. We really want a top exhibition to beat them," Glasner told a news meeting at Sevilla's Sanchez Pizjuan stadium on Tuesday.
"Rangers are a group that will constantly and robustly connect with you in one-on-one battles and will make the runs at the back. James Tavernier is the top goalscorer in the Europa League and he is a fullback, which shows how high their fullbacks play and their contributions front and center."
Glasner, who said that his group were quiet in front of Wednesday's down, feels their fixation levels will be key in the last.
"The emotions have just filled in the last couple of months, I'm so glad for the players and what they've created and accomplished. They deserve to be in the last," Glasner said.
"The energy in the storage space is perfect, a decent blend of fixation, focus and ease and that is wonderful in front of an enormous game like this.
"I was attempting to contemplate what to say to my players tomorrow however I figure I don't have to deliver an inspirational speech because we know one another so well and know how we need to succeed."
With Spanish authorities expecting the appearance of 50 000 Eintracht supporters, Glasner praised the German club's voyaging fans for the manner in which they got behind the group as they got away wins against Real Betis, Barcelona and West Ham in transit to the last.
What's more, he believes they will be a variable in the future on Wednesday.
"Our fans are excellent. The have taken extraordinary measures to chase after us Europe," Glasner said.
"It's the atmosphere they make. The enthusiasm and passion they bring is a certain something, yet there are immaterial factors that give you goosebumps.
"We have two teams with mind blowing fans and perhaps the best away fans in Europe. Around 150 000 fans from the two clubs are normal and that is just astonishing."
