MESSI'S agency has denied reports that he will join David Beckham's Inter Miami next season.

According to reports, the Argentina legend will join the Florida-based club once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in 2023.

According to DIRECTV Sports, Messi will own a 35 percent ownership in the MLS franchise club.

On Monday, Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham shared Instagram images of himself with Paris Saint-Germain stars Lionel Messi, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, and Kylian Mbappe.

Messi's representatives have now told Le Parisien that reports that he will relocate to Florida and purchase a stake in the team are "absolutely incorrect."

"Leo has not yet decided on his future," the alleged quotes add.

"And if Leo Messi ran across David Beckham in the previous several hours, it was merely as part of PSG's visit to Doha.

"It's there that the former England player will serve as an ambassador for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar."

Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas said in February that he would "love" to recruit Barcelona legend Lionel Messi and that Beckham's influence makes it a "possibility."

Messi would not be the first football legend to come to the MLS as he neared the end of his career.

He also bought a fancy £5 million Miami property in the past, indicating that he is a fan of the city, albeit he put it up for sale in November.

During his playing days, Manchester United icon David Beckham, 47, was frequently pitted against Messi.

Becks' final club was PSG, and he admitted that he decided to retire after Messi ran him ragged against Barcelona in the Champions League in 2013.

Messi has struggled with his form since joining PSG, scoring 11 goals and assisting 13 times in 33 outings. Meanwhile, despite winning the French title in 2021-22, PSG must still recover from their heartbreak in the UEFA Champions League in 2021-22. With the FIFA World Cup 2022 approaching, PSG may be hesitant to sell Messi in the summer due to his brand value. PSG will meet Metz in their final game of the 2021-22 season in May.
