Portraits of Shame

Before you proceed to read this piece, please consider reading the part one in order to have a fair idea about the whole topic.

They order expensive food and the leftovers are even more than the food they have eaten.

The total bill is GHC880  or even greater and you pay without bargaining, you gave a tip of GHC20 appreciating the waiter for a delicious meal....which you did not eat even half of.

This situation might seem pretty normal to you but it is inhumane..., I repeat, It Is Inhumane!!

THE POINT IS:

Why do we always show that we have the bargaining power when we make purchases from the poor?

Why do we suddenly become arrogant when buying from the poor?

Why do we become stingy when buying from the vulnerable?

Why do we exhibit generosity to those who do not even need our generosity? Like going to deposit stones at a mountainous rock.

Why do we become polite when buying from the rich who see our money as mere change?

Why do we direct money to a sea of money?

Please buy simple goods from the poor people at high prices.... just do it deliberately, even higher than the selling price.

Sometimes, pay extra for the items you buy from poor women...you are only blessing them in your  own little way

Please where it is possible, buy items from local markets.

To everyone reading this piece, please, everytime you see them in traffic, taxi parks, bus stops, on the streets....just buy! Sometimes even when you don't need those items.

Do not bargain. They are not looking for money to buy expensive clothes or mansions or cars, but to feed their children back home and pay school fees.

PLEASE let's support the less privileged

Let usdecide to do this, starting from this year, 2022.
