In a recent video posted on his YouTube channel, the football.london journalist revealed that if Spurs finish in the top four in the league, the 28-year-long-term old's future in north London would not only be much less uncertain, but Antonio Conte, Fabio Paratici, and Daniel Levy might even offer him a new contract.
"I don't think there becomes any doubt about Harry Kane's future," Gold remarked when asked about the ramifications of Tottenham clinching Champions League football. If Spurs finish in the top four, I wouldn't be surprised if Harry Kane signs a new deal.
"You may think Harry Kane's best option is to simply finish his contract, but I don't get the idea he's that type of guy." He adores Conte, and I believe he'll follow Conte wherever he leads them."
The supporters will be ecstatic.
While Kane did not have the best of starts to the current season under Nuno Espirito Santo's management and the lingering interest of Manchester City, the centre-forward has rediscovered his best form since Conte's arrival in north London last November.
Indeed, the £90m-rated striker has scored 15 goals and provided seven assists in 27 Premier League appearances under the 52-year-old manager – averaging a direct goal contribution every 109 minutes for the Italian – a stark contrast to his one goal and one assist in nine league appearances under Nuno Espirito Santo.
The £200k-per-week forward has averaged a stunning SofaScore match rating of 7.34, making him not just Conte's second-best performer in the Premier League, but also the joint eighth-best player in the league overall.
Given a result, if Kane does sign a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, it will definitely excite Spurs fans, as the Tottenham talisman's time in north London appeared to be coming to an end only a few months ago.
